All of the world’s leading countries are operating on fiat currencies for the first time ever. It’s a real-world experiment and no one knows how it will end.
We do know the survival rate of previous fiat currencies though: 100%
We also know how long currencies tend to survive as the “global reserve currency: about 80 years.
Knowing that and listening to Ray Dalio explain what to watch for in a collapsing currency doesn’t give the best feeling. A lot of what he explains is happening right in front of us. Happy Thursday 😅

Interesting fact. On the day we landed on the moon in July 1969 and one bought gold, silver, S&P 500 or the Dow Jones Indus, which would you expect to be the out-performer on 4-25-2024?

Gold has outperformed the Dow and the S&P 500 since the moon landing. If you don’t believe we actually landed on the moon in July 1969, Aretha Franklin was arrested for disorderly conduct around this same time. Feel free to use that as your point of reference.
Since that date, we’ve amassed $30+ trillion of debt and devalued our currency by about 95%
Gold is an indicator of trust in our monetary system's absolute reliability - and it’s going up…

In January of 2023, when investigations into Binance’s potential money laundering schemes became news, their CEO said he was going to keep things simple by focusing on 4 things:
1. Education
2. Compliance
3. Product & Service
4. Ignore FUD, fake news, attacks, etc.
He then asked people to remember #4 and to point back to this photo often.
Well, the internet doesn’t forget. He was sentenced to 4 months in prison this week and people definitely pointed back to this photo, just for other reasons.
